“MCC Theater has enriched the cultural life of New York City for more than 25 years. We are grateful for Mayor de Blasio, former Mayor Bloomberg, and the City Council for committing over $25 million towards our new home. It’s an extraordinary partnership that will make MCC Theater at the new Avalon Clinton complex New York’s next great cultural destination.”

– Susan Raanan, Board Chair

LOBBY VIEW TWO

A welcoming lobby and comfortable audience amenities
for lively pre-and post-show discussions and events.

Our mission is to provoke conversations that have never happened
and otherwise never would. With two theaters, MCC can provide
more opportunities to showcase new, important work.

The 249-seat theater (pictured above and below) retains MCC’s intimate experience while the 99-seat black box theater will showcase the work of emerging artists, playwrights, and students.

When creative people are in the same space,
big things can happen.

MCC’s new complex will provide two state-of-the-art rehearsal studios
as well as artistic and administrative offices all under one roof.
